Congratulations are in order to Jerry Slack, who after 43
plus years of service to Jefferds Corporation, is officially
retiring effective October 30, 2009. Next to the late Mr.
Jefferds, I believe she has the most years' service in the
history of Jefferds Corporation. Wow, what an
accomplishment! That is LOYALTY in capital letters.
Jerry began her career at Jefferds Corporation ( originally
Jefferds and Moore ) in the parts department, hired by Lloyd
DeJarnett, and then later transferred to the Service
Department, next to the Sales Department and finally to the
Corporate Accounting Department as Inventory Control Clerk.
Jerry's immediate plans for her retirement include not
having to go to work this winter and staying at home with
her Mother who she is currently caring for. She has two
children and three Grandchildren who will, I am sure, be
enjoying more of Jerry's time going forward.
Please join us in wishing Jerry a long and healthy
retirement, while remembering her past accomplishments and
at the same time looking forward to many new tomorrows as a
retired Jefferds Corporation employee.
